Amr Abdel Geleel is an Egyptian actor. Born in 1963 to a family of six children, one of whom is his twin, Ayman, and one of his brothers, and the screenwriter, Tarek Abdel Geleel. He began his career in 1986 with a role in the play, Bulldozer, starring Mohamed Negm. He followed it directly with the great director Youssef Chahine in Alexandria Again and Forever in one of the most important stations of his career. Despite his strong start, he continued in a number of supporting roles for a long time that started since the beginning of the 90s. The pivotal turning point of his career was in 2007, where he participated for the third time with Youssef Chahine in his last film and in Khaled Youssef’s film Hena Maysara. In 2010, he played his first box office hit in his third collaboration with Khaled Youssef in the comedy film Call Me, Thank You. In the following year, he starred in the comedy Ant’s Scream)from the script written by his brother Tarek Abdel Geleel. In 2013 he appeared in the series The Second Wife, while in 2014 he starred in the comedy Saeed Klaket. Amr has participated so far in about eighty works between film, theatre and television.
